Fall

So, I've decided that the best thing about having a house is the yard and the worst is.....having a yard. lol. not really, I love having a yard and having a place for Harley to run around, but let me tell you, in the fall, the leaves are everywhere! It took me a couple of hours to leaf blow, rake and wheelbarrel out the back and side yard's leaves. I still haven't done the front! But tomorrow, hopefully I can just mow them up in a half an hour. I hope my roommate will do the yardwork over the Christmas break, because I am tired of doing that for awhile! Then it started raining while I was finishing up the yard, and I noticed that half a strand of Christmas lights was out, so I went to unplug it and fix it, and it zapped me! So, I decided that it would be better to wait until it stops raining to fix the lights. yikes! Here's some pictures of the leaf piles. They don't really do it justice though, because they were a lot bigger than they look! The pile in the backyardPile on the side yardBackyard pile again, it was getting dark!

Hello again!

So, it's been awhile since I've updated this, but here I am! School is winding down for the semester, I only have this week and finals week and then I'm out for 5 weeks! yay! We had a week off not too long ago for Thanksgiving, and that was really nice. My grandma came up to spend the holiday with us, and we had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Everythin turned out great and I made the apple pie. It was pretty good. Last week I put up the Christmas lights at my house in Chico. It was a little scary being out there on the tall ladder, at night, when the legs were sinking in the mud! I didn't fall off though! A fuse has blown a couple of times on one of the strand, but it was an easy fix to get them back up and running. Then this past Saturday my mom, dad and I were in the Woodland Christmas parade walking my dog Harley and my dad's dog Abbey. It was great! Harley had a little elf hat and collar and Abbey had on antlers. She loved all the attention! They looked so cute! Then on Sunday, my sister and her boyfriend Kyle came by the house and we got to visit with them for a few hours. It was a quick visit before they had to fly back to San Diego, but it was great to see them! On Thursday my mom and I bought a huge, beautiful wreath for the little old lady that lives across the street from me. I had never met her before but I always see her out in front of her house. Well, I brought it over to her and introduced myself, told her Merry Christmas and gave her the wreath. Er.....rather, tried to give her the wreath. lol. she wouldn't take it!! She just kept saying it was too much, and to give it to someone else or hang it on my door. So there it hangs! It is beautiful. When I go home for Christmas, I might give it to a convalescent home in town. Oh yeah, and in November, my grandma, mom, sister, and I went to Disneyland! It was so much fun! So, that's what has been going on around here. Hopefully I will post again soon! =)
