Weekend

So, this has been a really great weekend. My mom came up to visit me in Chico, and we just had a great time. Saturday we went to the Lavender Festival in Biggs, and even though we almost missed it, we made it just in time to not have to pay for our tickets! lol. They had some beautiful antiques, and we bought a lavender sachet and I got some beautiful gold and amethyst earrings and a cute little knob for my dresser. Then we walked through the fields of lavender. It was so beautiful! Then we headed back into town to do a little shopping at the sidewalk sale, and we realized that a bunch of the parking meters up and down the streets were covered, and you couldn't park there, so we found a street without those and parked. Well, on our way into town, I saw a sign that they were having the Under the Harvest Moon Light Parade! So we staked out a spot on the curb and got some peppermint hot chocolate from Starbucks and watched the parade! It was great! Then today we went back to one of the antique stores downtown and did a little shopping. Such a fun weekend! And next weekend is Ali, Lindsey and my girls weekend at Ali's house! Can't wait!
